С 23 мая по 24 июня в галерее 11.12, расположенной на площадке «Винзавода», пройдёт выставка скульптур и объектов Сергея Соболева «Морфология». Сергей Соболев, наверное, самый тонкий эстет формы, её таинственный адепт и гуру. Он создаёт свою, новую био-эстетику, одновременно предельно простую и многомерно сложную. В диалоге с чистой формой рождается «другое» знание, которое подобно зеркалу открывает каждому своё.

May 23 rd to June 24 th at the gallery “11.12” that is at “Winzavod” will go on an exhibition of sculptures and objects of Sergey Sobolev “Morphology”. Possibly, Sergey Sobolev is the finest aesthetician of form, its secret follower and guru. He creates his own, new bio-aesthetics that are, simultaneously very simple and extremely difficult. During a dialogue with pure form is born “other” knowledge that opens to each its own like a mirror. 

Скульптура Соболева наследует поиску высокого модернизма и включает в свою сложную генеалогию американский минимализм наравне с Исаму Ногути и Генри Муром. Лаконичные формы обобщают сложную внутреннюю «механику» взаимодействий эмоций и интеллекта. За их внешней простотой прочитываются тайные знаки, а их метафоричность и недосказанность приоткрывают дверь в подсознание. Творчество художника медитативно и гипнотично - оно находится в зазоре между иронией и пафосом, не артикулируя ни один из этих полюсов. Визуальные тезисы Сергея Соболева восполняют утраченные факты объективной реальности.

Sobolev’s sculpture inherits the search of high modernism and equally includes in its difficult genealogy American minimalism, Isamu Noguchi and Henry Moore. Laconic forms generalize difficult inner “mechanics” of interactions of emotions and intellect. Behind their outer simplicity you can read secret signs, and their metaphor and vagueness open the door to the subconscious. This artist’s work is meditative and hypnotizing – it’s located between irony and pathos, but doesn’t articulate any one of these polarities. Visual thesis of Sergey Sobolev makes up for the deficiency of lost facts of objective reality. 

Совместно с Ольгой Муравиной Сергей основал лабораторию Ars forma, что в переводе с латинского означает – «искусство формы». Соавторы исследуют границы и смыслы современной скульптуры, создают кинетические объекты и разрабатывают дизайн нестандартных пространств а городской среде и природном ландшафте. На выставке в галерее 11.12 будут представлены скульптуры, объекты, рельефы из бронзы, фарфора и белого полимера, а так же графические и фотографические изображения.

Together with Olga Muravina, Sergey founded “Ars forma” laboratory that is translated from Latin as “the art of form”. These co-authors explore the boundaries and meanings of modern sculpture, create kinetic objects and develop designs of non-standard spaces within city environment and natural landscape. At the exhibition at “11.12” will be presented sculptures, objects, reliefs from bronze, porcelain and white polymer, as well as graphic and photographic images.
